Design for Murder introduces Annie, and with each episode in the series the characters take shape and definition. These are definitely worth a trip to your favorite bookstore, if for no other reason than to meet Annie's flaky mother-in-law to be.

The Henrie O. books are also well worth the read. Based on a totally different premise, Henrie manages to see that justice is served...........one way or another!

Easily classified as "cozies", both series by Hart are warm and well written - and no, you won't necessarily figure out "who-dun-it" before the end of the book. Both heroines suffer through real problems and doubts, but manage to remain both feminine AND feminist. What more can I ask for?

Hart is the first author ever to win all three major mystery awards for her novels--the Agatha, the Anthony, and the MacAvity.
