Hawk MacKinney grew up in the railroad town of Cabin Creek, Arkansas and
began writing serial mysteries in his teens for his school newspaper. He has
authored professional articles, designed graduate teaching programs, is a
retired Navy Special Staff Corps officer, has postdoctoral degrees from Texas
and Colorado with majors in language and history, and taught postgraduate
courses in the States and overseas. He now makes his home on the Savannah River
in Georgia.
