A truly outstanding series featuring a New Orleans policewoman and her crazy, gay landlord and assorted friends and family that keep the book moving. Not bland by any means, Smith's sense of humor works well with Skip Langdon and her New Orleans background. I'm always eager for the next "chapter" in the series! REBECCA SCHWARTZ Mysteries From a family of Marin County ultra-liberals, Rebecca [self-described as a Jewish princess and attorney], is a delightful character, with crazy friends, bizarrly hilarious cases, and a remarkable family - truly warm cozies! PAUL MCDONALD Series Huckleberry Fiend (1987) As the only one of the Mcdonald series I have read, it wasn't up to Julie Smith's usual standards - I'll pass on the other book.
