I'm Tuggy Curran, a 48 year old woman living
in the beautiful city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I've been married for 4
years to my Dutch husband, Marten, who I met on the internet. We lived for 3
years in a small village just south of Amsterdam and then moved back to Canada
last summer.
I'm enjoying seeing my country through his eyes and getting to know it all over
again.
I'm on dialysis three times a week, so I have lots of time to read. When I lived
in the Netherlands, I had to search hard for mysteries in English, but now my
reading is back to normal with several good bookstores in Edmonton.
I read a variety of authors, although I lean towards cozy. I like books that are
character driven, and set interesting times and places. I like Anne George, M.C.
Beaton, Linda Barnes, Dianne Day, Corinne Holt Sawyer, Barbara Parker, and many
others. I enjoy books that make me think, and
books that teach me something. I love discovering a mystery series with lots of
backlist for me to enjoy. I don't like books with a lot of on-scene violence
especially against children.
My other interests include politics and current affairs, and I'm very much a
local activist. I spend a lot of time on the computer with friends from all over
the world.
