Fruit Feeders Add To Backyard Bird-feeding Fun.

Raisins can be placed in a platform feeder and are very attractive to mockingbirds,
bluebirds, catbirds and Cedar Waxwings.

Adding a fruit feeder to your backyard may attract many of the fruit-eating
birds that might not come to traditional seed feeders. Fruit can be offered
in hanging feeders, nectar feeders, on platform feeders or in wire feeders designed
for holding pieces of fruit or fruit suet.

GRAPES placed in a cage or on a platform feeder are particularly attractive to:
Acorn Woodpeckers
Mockingbirds
Black-headed Grosbeaks
Robins
Bluebirds
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
Catbirds
Scarlet Tanagers
Cedar Waxwings
Towhees
House Finches
Western Tanagers

Attracting fruit-eating birds can take time and patience. If you have mature fruit
trees or bushes, or if you have seen fruit-eating birds in your yard or nearby, you
will more readily attract fruit-eaters.

ORANGE HALVES placed in a fruit feeder are attractive to:
Baltimore Orioles
Mockingbirds
Black-headed Grosbeaks
Robins
Bluebirds
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
Catbirds
Scarlet Tanagers
Cedar Waxwings
Towhees
House Finches
Western Tanagers

Fruit can be offered in hanging feeders, nectar feeders, on platform feeders or in wire feeders designed for holding pieces of fruit or fruit suet.

Ask us about which of these fruit-eating bird species are likely to visit your backyard and the best methods to attract them.

OTHER FRUIT that birds find attractive includes apples, currants, cranberries and blueberries.
