I grew up in a small PA town but have lived in Philadelphia,
Chicago, rural Iowa and spent years farming in Ohio. Bred Hereford cattle, grew
corn and soybeans and eventually pick-your-own blackberries and field grown
garden chrysanthemums. Išve worked in accounting and taxes, on the census,
wrote a column on gardening and country things, and spent the last 10 years
living in Columbus and working in the admissions office of Ohio State Univ.
My taste in reading is broad, but I prefer logic to the woo-woo factor and
subtlety to extremely graphic sex and violence. Dark is Ok, only like historical
novels or anthropomorphic animals if very well done. Some of my favorite authors
are Robert Crais, Nevada Barr, C J Box, J A Jancešs Joanna Brady series,
Keith Snyder, Ian Rankin, John Baker, and Stephen Booth.
