Carleen, 11/4
I know we're all posting and all too tired to really do it justice, but here I am doing same.
I tried to read all the old reports Beth was sending (phew, thank goodness I promised her cases of
tim tams for her silence). What a great few days -- all the RAMmers are incredibly nice and fun and
wikkid (missed ya, Mique) and wonderful.
People really did approach us (somewhat timidly) in the bar to find out who the hell we were and how
dare we be having so much fun and how do they get in on it (so when people start signing on here
with the password "It's All About Carleen" - you know where they heard of us - but I
really have no idea who started that rumor).
Mary Askew and I were friends before--we've now
officially bonded for life thanks to quite a road trip and to anyone lurking out there who (and I
can't imagine why) is afraid of Mary - psssst: she's such a cream puff...stop being intimidated.
p.s. to M'Lou -- Mary is
heartbroken she didn't get to spend more time with you simply to hear that adorable, sickeningly
beautiful North Carolina accent - not that I'm jealous or anything...
KS might think I slept through her tart panel but honestly, K, I was working out in the gym - no,
really, I got so caught up in my exercise routine I lost track of time.
Jim B. shared his cartoons with us but thank goodness only a (ahem) select few (ahem me and
Eileeeeeen) got to share the Heather Cream with him because I'm sorry, there wasn't enough for
everyone once Eileeeeeen got a hold of the bottle...and we tried desperately to share our food with
him to fatten him up a little.
Mitchy is a living doll despite the fact that she obviously has a strong criminal streak that no one
was aware of.
Mark Alan Miller is my best
friend for life for telling me this morning I looked too fabulous for so little sleep and
Eileeeeeeen is my best friend for life for getting Russell James to sign my book (and dammit E get
that roll of film developed dammit).
And now I am very tired, and happy to be where the weather suits my clothes...
great memories of the whole gang
(Ann from Oz dumping 8,000 pounds of tim tams on a cocktail table will certainly go down in RAM
history...), thanks all!
