Well, I finally made it back home from the USA yesterday. It almost seems like I fell asleep (just
before the RAM party, probably), and have only just woken up again. What a trip! I had such a great
time at Bouchercon, and it was wonderful meeting so many RAMmers who attended. I can't believe I
missed getting on the group picture. After all that time I spent hanging around in the RAM corner of
the lobby bar, I wasn't there at the vital moment! It looks like I'll definitely have to come back
again next year.
Today I was up again at the crack of dawn to get to London for the Dagger awards. I
didn't win anything, but it didn't matter, because I was feeling pretty relaxed about things by the
time lunch was over. And thanks to the USA, I do now have an award to add to my sig line. Giles
Blunt was on the same table at lunch today, and he seemed a pretty cool guy. Fidelis was
there, too, and she filled me in on the Findus Crispy Pancake question. Otherwise, I'm way behind on
RAM - and not a hope of catching up! I have seven more events to do during the next two weeks - and
some time soon I ought to start writing the next novel, or so they tell me.
