from: Marie Marie's Killer Brownies Preheat oven to 350 degrees Lightly grease or spray a 9X13 pan
3/4 c. butter or margarine (1 1/2 cubes)
Melt the butter and chocolate in a large bowl in a microwave or in a large saucepan on the stove. When it is completely melted, mix in sugar. Mix in eggs when you are sure that the mixture is cool enough not to cook the eggs. Use a mixer to ensure that it is well-blended. Add the vanilla and almond flavoring. Add the flour, with or without a mixer. Pour into the pan and cook for about 20-25 minutes. Check at 20 minutes--it will be done if the edges are turning dark and are pulling away from the sides of the pan. You can always use do the toothpick test or tap on the middle to see if it feels done. They should be very moist on the inside, but crisp on the outside, and have a melt-in-your-mouth consistency. |
