KS's Killer Coke Roast
(aka Ssssnakebelly Stew)

1 liter of Coke
2 bay leaves
(1) 2.5 pound roast (lean)
1 tsp minced garlic
1 smallish Vidalia onion (or biggish, if you like onions)
2 cups mushrooms
1 cup frozen corn (thawed)
1 cup freshly snapped green beans
1 large baking potato, cubed
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 can beef broth
1 bottle red wine
Pepper
Texas Pete hot sauce
Worcestershire sauce
A small pat of butter

Combine Coke, bay leaves and garlic in large bowl. Add roast. Marinade for at least six hours. (Bay leaves will more than likely not be there when you finish this process. Don't ask.)

In a skillet combine onions and mushrooms. Sauté, using Worcestershire sauce, butter and a smack of Texas Pete. Splash some wine, and drink a swig for yourself. Drain mixture well and pat dry.

In large crock pot combine carrots, green beans, potato and corn. Add broth and onion/mushroom mixture as well as a half cup of wine. Add six splishes of Worcestershire sauce and no more than three dashes of Texas Pete. Pepper to taste.

Cook for at least eight hours while you drink the rest of the wine.

Enjoy!
