PLAY CLAY
From Arm & Hammer (primary) printed in Family Circle Magazine

2 ups baking soda
1 cup cornstarch
1-1/4 cups cold water (food coloring may replace part of water)
1 tablespoon corn oil

Combine baking soda and cornstarch in medium saucepan.
Add water and oil.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches consistency of moist mashed potatoes, about 10 to 15 minutes. (If clay cooks too long, finished crafts may crack.)

Remove mixture to plate and cover with damp cloth.

When cool enough to handle, knead on cornstarch-dusted surface until smooth.

Makes about 2 pounds. Recipe may be doubled.

Good for making jewelry, magnets, handprints. etc.
