Judi's Balls
In large mixing bowl combine:
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
3/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup finely minced onion
1/2 cup finely minced celery
1 beaten egg
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup milk
Shape into balls, roll in breadcrumbs
Brown in hot oil or fat
Remove meat and stir into fat:
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Stir in:
2 cups boiling water
3/4 cups sour cream
Return meat to gravy, stirring occasionally. Cook 15-20 minutes. Or put finished
product in crock-pot to bring to a potluck dinner.
