Ginger-Peach Pork Chops

3/4 lb-1 lb boneless pork chops
about 8 or 9 oz Peach jam
1/2 c. favorite Teriyaki or Ginger marinade
1/2 tsp (several good shakes from the bottle) ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
flour
oil
Fresh peach (optional--depends on the season and availability)

In a small bowl, mix the jam, marinade and spices.

Dredge the pork chops with flour.

Brown them in a frying pan, using enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.

When meat is brown on both sides, add the jam mixture. Make sure each of the pieces of meat is covered.

Cover the pan and turn the heat down so it just simmers. Let it cook for a half hour or so--can cook longer if need be. If desired, chop up some fresh peach and add to the pan a couple of minutes before serving. Good served over rice.

Note: Boneless chicken breasts can be substituted for pork chops.
