Renee's passion for books began at a young age when
she insisted on sleeping with several Golden books, This quiet
girl with a pixie cut and big brown eyes spent summers in small
mid-western towns while her Father worked road construction and
would find her way to the local library and shyly ask if she
could just spend the day with the librarian. First paycheck came
as a library page shelving books--leading to the discovery of
WAY too many new authors and the frustration of having to
actually put all of the books away and not being able to just
sit in the stacks and read. Presently Renee lives in Stillwater
Minnesota (which just opened a new independent bookstore!) and
is in walking distance from her public library. She no longer
sleeps with Golden books but is never more than arms length from
a current read.
