The snap of me is in Paris, on the bank of the Seine where
all the
bookstalls are. Most of the books in French, of course, but I enjoyed
poking through the inventory anyway!

The video store is one Mitchy spotted as she, Thalia & I
were walking
from the underground to the bookstore where Harlan Coben was signing. |

And I've now attached a typical Paris bookstall. I saw a
French edition
of Crais "L A Requiem" for sale - used paperback

The two from "Palais Het Loo" are in
the gardens of the Dutch royal gardens near Appeldoorn. Formerly the hunting
lodge of William - of William & Mary fame.

And the "white garden" are from the
grounds at Sissinghurst in Kent. The
home of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicholson. All the plantings bloom in
white only, and plantings are timed so something white is in bloom all season.
Nicholson designed the gardens, and his wife, working with two gardeners
renovated the decrepit property and did all the planting. |
