Series: Figure Skating Mysteries

Adams is familiar with the world of competitive figure skating - she has worked for several broadcast and cable networks as a researcher for figure skating broadcasts during several competitions, including the 1998 Olympics.

In this debut novel she turns to mystery fiction, featuring Bex Levy, a figure skating researcher for a sports network, who tries her hand at investigating a suspicious death. The World Championships are underway in San Francisco, and in a scenario borrowed from recent events - a controversial vote by a judge in the Women's championship event gives the medal to an unpopular competitor, with the American favorite coming in second.

Within a matter of hours, the judge is found dead, and Bex's producer asks her to find the killer, in order to scoop the competetion in an upcoming broadcast.

Adam's style is light and breezy, and the book moves right along. She wickedly portrays the behind the scenes backbiting and jealousies of television personalities, both on and off screen.

Readers who enjoy a lighter mystery and those who are intrigued with the rumored infighting in the world of competition figure skating should enjoy this one!
