Bex Levy is a researcher for 24/7, a sports cable network planning a tribute show for Lucian Pryce. Pryce has been training top skaters for forever. He falls and dies on the ice as Bex, stepping in as temporary producer, is planning shots for the special. Given his age and the fact that no one was near him when he fell, everyone dismisses it as a tragic accident. Bex however has decided it is murder and works hard to try to prove it.

When Adams writes about the skating scene she is believable. The story is spoiled by the less-than-believable behavior of the protagonist. Motive is shaky and plot development poor, all of which fails to make a believable story. Its only saving grace is the insight into the skating world.
