I picked up this second in a series and now just HAVE to find the first one !! Maureen Ash had done her history homework of around the 13th century England and wove a great tale. I love a great Templar tale, and even though his is not really a story about Templars, per se, there was just enough to keep me more than interested. I look forward to more of Bascot de Marins and his mute helper Gianni. She adds a bit of their own background to make you feel a part of the characters and find I wanted to keep reading.

I could almost see this storyline woven into a great TV series.
