Series: Sam Turner # 2

Sam Turner, Geordie, Gus & Celia return. Sam's private investigations service is off to a good start. He has been able to rent office space, and acquire furnishings to fill it. Attorneys, insurance companies, and private citizens looking for missing persons have begun to consult him regularly and Sam is encouraged by his early success.

Meanwhile, at a British prison, an inmate named Norman Bunce takes advantage of a breakout engineered by other inmates and escapes. Making his way to York, robbing and murdering on the way, Norman engages Sam to locate an old girl friend. Sam is suspicious, and while searching for the woman he also has Norman followed to learn more about him.

Sam eventually learns the truth about his ominous client, and tragedy is part of the lesson. This second entry in the very entertaining Sam Turner series is definitely worth your time!
