“Coming out of the mist. An animal. A deer. A buck.” No, this vision doesn’t come to Jeffrey Resnick while tramping into the forest but pops into his mind while shooting pool in a New York City bar. But this is not the last vision that Jeff experiences and soon he will become haunted by these visions as well as various emotions he experiences during the visions.

Jeffrey Resnick is an insurance investigator and soon to start a new job but his life is headed in a very different direction. Jeffrey is mugged on his way home from the New York City bar and wakes up in a hospital. His half brother Dr. Richard Alpert brings Jeffrey home to Buffalo, New York and many old memories. The nightmares and visions continue even in Buffalo.

Continually haunted by nightmares Jeffrey soon discovers that local businessman Matthew J. Sumner’s body has been found hanging in his garage. This convinces him that the deer in his original vision is actually Sumner and the emotions he is feeling have to do with Sumner’s grisly murder. Jeffrey feels compelled to investigate this murder and convinces Richard and his girl friend Brenda to assist him.

Murder On The Mind catches your interest from page one and I found no slow or dull parts in the entire book.
