I found the change in emphasis in this book from the homelife of teacher/single mom/slueth Melanie Travis to her work environment at a private school a refreshing new element. It put some pizazz into the storyline. I always enjoy this series, and the involvement of the dogs and the world of showing pedigreed pooches, but in this effort she wove the dogs into the story differently. It was a good plot. I had a fair chance at solving the mystery but didn't manage it before Melanie this time. I think with this one the author managed a quantum leap in the quality of her writing.
