The Killer's Game
Jay Bonansinga
Class/Genre:   Mystery
1997, Simon and Schuster, 300 pages

I love stories about hitmen. I don’t know why, just something about them grabs me. Maybe it’s about the self control they seem to have. And Joe Flood has a lot of self control. But that doesn’t stop his life from going totally out of control. After a trip to the doctor, Joe discovers he is going to die. He doesn’t want to go out like that, sick and weak. So he does a very strange thing. He visits someone he has done work for and take out a contract on himself. Which naturally brings about a very interesting story. Add to this that the doctor made a mistake and that he’s not really going to die, Joe is in for quite an adventure. And as a reader it’s great fun to watch. His resourcefulness is tested time and again. reading this book was like being given a free pass to the go carts and unlimited gas. Lots of fun, and it just keeps going.

If you like books about hitmen, take a shot at this one.
