Hannah Sampson heads a Dive and Recovery Team for Denver Homicide. When a body is found in the office of Police Commissioner George Duvall, Hannah is called in. Duvall¹s son, a diver, was found drowned in the Caribbean and his belongings were shipped to Duvall¹s office. Could there be a connection?

Duvall convinces Hannah to go to the British Virgin Islands to see if the death of his son may have been more than an accident. Diving in the blue waters of the Caribbean, seeing colorful coral, exotic tropical fish and other fascinating sea creatures is vastly different from forensic diving in the murky cold water in Colorado. You will learn a bit about both here.

While enjoying the island sun and sea, you will be caught up in the mystery of Michael¹s death and the danger surrounding Hannah¹s search. Hannah Sampson makes an attractive protagonist, one we hope to see again. Brandt captures the atmosphere of life in the islands. If you think she writes well, it shouldn¹t come as a surprise to know that she has taught writing at the university level and is married to a marine biologist. That background helps bring the story to life.
