Present Danger is a suspense novel, a what-done-it, involving military research and secrecy. Major Jonathan Ward is an engineer assigned to check the results of an investigation of a downed secret airplane. The first investigation has left a few people dissatisfied with the conclusion of pilot error. Ward will make some people extremely nervous as his digging comes to a frightening conclusion.

With vital, vivid characters and well portrayed settings around the globe, this novel will grab you with enough historical accuracy to give an immediacy to the story. The secrecy and arrogance of the Washington power base is as relevant now as it was 20 years ago. The novel balances this with a few upright types in the military. This is a reprint of a novel originally published in 1986, but close enough to todayıs possibilities to make the reader uneasy. A gripping read.
