This collection of short stories put together by Mystery Writers of America and edited by Harlan Coben is just a great collection. I am not a big fan of short stories but this is one book I was anxious to finish reading.

Authors in order of listing in the contents are Ridley Pearson, Lee Child, Charles Ardai, Brendan DuBois, Bonnie Hearn Hill, Steve Hockensmith, William Kent Krueger, Tim Maleeny, Rick McMahan, P. J. Parish, Tom Parish, Charles Todd, Tim Wohlforth, Jeff Abbot, Jim Fusiclli, Laura Lippman, R. L. Stine, Jay Brandon and Harlan Coben.

Each story gives you a different setting. I really could not pick a favorite but I would highly recommend the book. I’ve read books by some of the authors and learned that I need to read something by the authors I haven’t read. The stories each moved quickly and held my interest.
