Series: Moe Prager # 2

Moe Prager is the kind of guy you would want to have beers with. He’s interesting, and he has an interesting history. He has strong morals, and he is persistent. I guess these things would explain why he’s also a good PI. Actually he is a retired cop (due to an injury) and runs a wine store with his brother. But he does have the tag from the state that says he can investigate privately, so he is also a PI.

I read this book and I couldn’t help but think that Reed has met some interesting people in his lifetime. His book is full of them. And I know that I’ve met some of them. For me having strong characters in a book is a must and Coleman delivers in a big way.

In Redemption Street, the second in the series, Prager finds himself drawn to a case involving a fire in the Catskills. At first Moe is not interested in taking on a missing persons case that seems resolved already, but after a few incidents he finds himself hooked. So as Moe looks into the 1966 fire he also finds himself looking at his own past. I really don’t want to give anything away because it is so much fun to discover the story while you read.

Coleman has a depth to his writing that is layered and intricate. He knows how to put out the bait and slowly real in the reader. And trust me, you will be hooked.
