Series: Nathan Heller # 6
Signet paperback, 1991

In this book in the Nate Heller series, Heller is dent out to the east coast to assist in the Lindburgh kidnapping. There are Chicago connections that hey believe Heller can help chase down, including Capone claiming to be able to help. The story weaved in these pages comes alive through the characters, all of which were well researched. And the case itself is thoroughly researched as well. It spurred me to seek out books mentioned in the back, because I was so drawn into the case. And the conclusions drawn by Collins, via Heller, seem to be very plausible.

This book moves at a very nice clip and almost demands to be read in one sitting. Heller is true to form as our lovable hardboiled detective. Cynical, but human. Another wonderful addition to the Heller memoirs. This is a must read for mystery fans and history fans alike.
