Carol Starkey used to be the best bomb squad technician in LA. However, an explosion took her lover and partner, as well as that title, away from her. When another bomb call turns into a murder scene, she finds herself up against a dangerous killer.

Robert Crais is a highly praised author but 'Demolition Angel' did not really give me a taste for this. Yes, the book was enjoyable enough and interesting. Crais told the reader a lot about explosives and bomb technician techniques, but it just seemed to lack something. He portrayed some interesting main characters, Starkey and Pell - good people, yet terribly flawed.

The plot moved along at a rapid pace, but the book is merely average. I was expecting something a lot better, but this novel failed to deliver. I cannot pinpoint exactly what I felt should have been there, but something is missing from it and this makes the book worthy of only an average review.
