Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs work together to find The Watchmaker. He is a killer that seems intent on killing in the most horrible ways possible. He manages to leave a clock by each victim as well as a poem with the text “The Full Moon is in the sky, shining on the corpse of earth, signifying the hour to die and end the journey begun on earth”.

Amelia is also working on a case of her own where a businessman has supposedly committed suicide but his wife begs Amelia to prove otherwise. In the process she uncovers what she believes is a group of dishonest policemen running a scam out of local tavern.

Stillito brings in Kathryn Dance who is an expert at interrogation but with all the scientific equipment and expert help The Watchmaker is very illusive. Just when they get near he sends them a new twist.

The Watchmaker is a very exciting suspense filled book and I can’t wait for the next Lincoln Rhyme.
