Series: Professor Karen Pelletier # 3
Doubleday, 275 pgs., October 19,1999

Karen Pelletier is an English professor and literary sleuth. This is a cozy set in New England at fictitious Enfield College. This is the 3rd in the series.

Elliott Corbin, Pelletier's colleague, is an obnoxious Edgar Allan Poe scholar who is killed. In the investigation papers are discovered that indicate Poe may have plagiarized "The Raven." Lt. Piotrowski is the investigating officer. He and Karen have worked together on previous cases. With help from friends, Karen realizes she is interested in a relationship with the Lt.

I like this series. Karen is likeable. The kind of professor you would want to talk to inside and outside of class.
