Series: TIG & Quinn # 2

Quinn Farley is an amateur geneologist, and an aspiring journalist. Her fiance Tig Grogan is a Denver cop. Together they find themselves investigating a series of murders. Seemingly unconnected - the victims are all sucessful men, with stable lives and happy families, respected in their communities. But one by one, the men are shot at close range on the first day of four successive months, with identical objects left behind with the body. The puzzle is to determine what ties the victims together.

Dolan creates a fictional community on the Colorado plains and does a good job of portraying the havoc of a spring storm in Colorado.

This is Dolan's second mystery novel. The sequence of events is nicely plotted, and the mystery of the connection between the murder victims is intriguing. As Dolan gains experience with the mystery genre, I hope she achieves a more skillful development of character and flow of action.
