Judith "Quinn" Farley is 29, a genealogist, and one of Colorado's wealthiest women. Police Lt. Tig Grogan is her live-in lover and fiance. Oil tycoon and multi-millionaire Virgil Hadley, 75, is Quinn's latest client. When Virgil is found dead on his isolated ranch, Tig is called in to assist the local sheriff, putting Quinn smack in the middle of his investigation.

When the only copy of Virgil's will that can be found is on videotape, and Quinn is named one of his heirs, neither Quinn nor Tig is particularly pleased, to say the least! Then more people are murdered, and attempts are made on Quinn's life.

Take it from me, suspend your disbelief and hold on, you're in for quite a ride with this evidently first effort from Veronica Dolan! A refreshingly off-beat heroine and a zany mystery were just what I needed. There were red-herrings all OVER the place, our heroine's mind works in way that generally gives Tig a headache, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Keep an eye on Ms. Dolan - she should be headed for the charts!
