Stephanie Plum, the perennial goof-up girl returns to give readers another bowl of brain candy. When Stephanie's ex-husband Dickie Orr disappears and several others connected to his law firm are found dead in various unpleasant circumstances, the attention of law enforcement turns to Stephanie. There are lots of good reasons to suspect her, including her relatively recent attempt to choke the life out of Dickie.

>From then on, it's nothing but fun. A taxidermist who booby traps his mounted wildlife to explode on occasion. Nighttime visits to graveyards hoping to pick up a felon wanted for a bond violation. Forty million dollars which has gone missing from Dickie's law firm accounts. Sarcastic pokes at the cable TV industry, which extend over several chapters.

Still trying to decide between Morelli and Ranger, and still inviting Grandma Mazur and former 'ho Lula along to help out, Stephanie Plum stumbles through another set of adventures. Lots of fun, as usual!
