Ok, so maybe it's brain candy! But I like Godiva chocolate as much as the next person, and I confess to stopping every once in awhile for a Cherry Chocolate Blizzard from Dairy Queen. Evanovich remains firmly fixed on my "don't miss" list, and the latest entry was a lot of fun. So far she doesn't disappoint.

There still are two men in Stephanie's life, although this book gives us the feeling that Joe Morelli has the inside track over Ranger.

Grandma Mazur takes a back seat in this book, Lula gets center stage as she and Stephanie take off for Las Vegas on the trail of the latest person to skip bail from cousin Vinnie's bail bond office. Lula is also searching for a diet which will turn her into supermodel status overnight. Instead of Stephanie's cars being imploded at the drop of a hat, in this book it's Lula's purses. She has settled on an all protein regimen, and carries emergency stashes of pork chops, chicken, sliced ham, etc with her at all times. Various and sundry dogs follow her with eager looks on their faces, and more than once Lula's purse is victim to a dog moving in.

The actual suspense here comes from a series of Emails, notes, and deliveries of flowers to Stephanie. The flowers arrive with ominous notes indicating that Stephanie is the intended target of a serial killer. Eventually she figures out who is stalking her, with help from Joe, Ranger, and a host of Ranger's assistants.

Lots of fun, and I'm already anxious for book #10!
