Yeee Haaaa!!! Now this is a fun book!!!! Totally bizarre and hysterical. Reading something this funny is a really nice change of pace. How could you not be intrigued by a book with a television program in it called Food Freak??

Our hero, Maddie Bean, of Mad Bean Events, is brought on board to replace a missing writer for the show. And of course, this being a mystery, she wants to find the missing writer. Her approach to this is just darn good reading. I love the scene where Farmer describes the cooking like a battle. Also, I had no idea that there were fanatics out there calling themselves Koollecters who collect old packets of Kool-ade. Knowing a little about collecting and getting caught up in it I can almost picture the excitement as someone pays big bucks for a packet of Berry Blue.

This is a very entertaining book and I will remember this series for the next time I need a break from the dark books I normally read.
