She is stunned to wake up by herself in the exclusive honeymoon suite of a hotel. All Temple Banning remembers is going to bed in her home. How she got here is a mystery, at least to her. Even more enigmatic is the marriage license that includes her name next to that of a stranger Michael St. Gerard.

After congratulating Temple for her nuptials, the desk informs her that her spouse left a limo to take her home. At home, the answering machine contains a message from Michael who apologizes for his abrupt vanishing act. He says he is in danger and wants to keep her safe. He gives her the number of a friend Mark Challis if she needs protection. At work, everyone but her best friend toasts Temple on her marriage. Her best friend knew nothing about a wedding and suggests Temple talk with private investigator Mark Challis. Now the mystery and romance begin.

THE MORNING AFTER is an excellent romantic mystery that will elate fans that enjoy a cross genre tale that keeps the audience wondering what is going on. The fast-paced story line succeeds because the characters feel real, especially a perplexed and frightened Temple as she tries to solve the puzzle. THE MORNING AFTER reading this novel, the audience will seek other works by rising superstar Suzanne Forster.
