Prepare yourself for a wild roller coaster ride. The sheer size of this novel appears daunting at first, however, the pace is fast and furious Chances are good you'll finish it in one sitting because you won't want to put it down (something I didn't even manage with "Sum of All Fears"). Author Chris Fox introduces us to Terry Weston, a mild mannered professor and loving family man, whose skills in "economic espionage" make him invaluable to the CIA. What starts out as a seemingly straight forward mission to recover a pirated movie turns into something much more frightening and far reaching. As this roller coaster ride gears up, Terry is tested to his limits and is forced to accept the help of the only person he can trust -- his wife, Maria.

This is definitely my favorite book of the year so far. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that it was very well written, and appreciated the author's sense of humor, which showed up especially when some levity was needed to release tension that was building up at a feverish pace. The characters, even those appearing for only a short time, are well developed and add something of interest to the story. This is only Chris Fox's second novel -- he is definitely going to the top of my "watch list."
