Series: Jack Teller # 1

Ex-spook Jack Teller is sent to Berlin, as a contact with an important message will only speak to him. Once there, Teller escapes his keepers to speak to the man alone, who turns out to be a Colonel in East Berlin intelligence. While others think his message is a scam, Jack believes there may be truth in it, and that he may be the only one to prevent an assassination and WW3. He is determined to dodge both the bad guys and his own CIA friends.

As the plot moves faster and faster, everything unexpected that can happen does. There is even a wildly funny car chase. Although this is a first novel, Gabbay writes with precision and intelligence, adding bits of comic relief to a serious cold war thriller.
