"The way my sister Mary Alice got us arrested was simple enough; she hit the president of the bank over the head with my umbrella" So begins the latest tongue in cheek romp with the Southern Sisters as they land in the Birmingham jail.

It starts out innocently enough when series regular Mitzi Phizer invites them to join an investment club. But they soon observe Mitzi's husband Arthur having a cozy luncheon with another woman who dies almost before their eyes. While attempting to solve the mysterious death of the Arthur Phizer's luncheon companion, the subsequent arson of Phizer's house just across the street from Patricia Ann, and support and console them in these tragedies, a family death and Arthur being shot in the behind, Patricia Ane and Mary Alice are again at their most hilarious investigating stocks, crimes and family secrets.

George just gets better and better.

Definitely a humorous cozy.
