Dubbed with nicknames like "the Goddess of Gore", scientist Stacy Kimball meets with police officer Ken Fitzhugh who found the latest corpse. Ken mentions the alleged jumper Wanda Cummings had signs similar to five other recent bodies. All shared marks on the neck, a major loss of blood with no accounting for it, and abnormalities in the remaining blood. He adds that the indications are that someone behaving like a vampire is on the loose and the only person brought in for questioning is shipping mogul Louis Redman. He concludes that the serial killer is brilliant and not part of the clumsy cult crowd.

Stacey meets Louis and finds herself very attracted to him. He, to his surprise shares her immediate feelings. However, Stacy begins to believe that Louis is a vampire, killing innocent people. However, she also knows her research cannot succeed without his blood. As she falls in love with him, she wonders how far she can trust this other species who feeds on humanity.

With her exciting "midnight" vampire romances, Nancy Gideon has earned the esteem of fans and critics. Her latest tale, MIDNIGHT REDEEMER, is an exhilarating supernatural love story that centers on the growing relationship between an ingenious mortal and the brilliant vampire she does not trust. The characters including the vile villain make the plot believable and entertaining. Fans of vampiric tales will relish this neck biter that turns state of the edge genetics, a serial killer, and a cross species romance into a near perfect novel.
