Sarah Bryden gave up her dreams of finishing college and traveling to Europe when her grandfather loses his leg in a freak accident. She works in secret on her paintings but to support herself she takes a job as a waitress at the local restaurant. When John and Susan Wilde accompanied by their adopted baby settle into the community of Cottonwood Falls in the Flint Hills of Kansas, she doesn't think they will impact her life in any way.

She is proven wrong when she meets Will and bonds with him, something his own mother is unable to do. John notices her relationship with his child and the beauty of her spirit and falls in love with her. When tragedy strikes, the star-crossed loves are parted, but an unbelievable miracle occurs and the pair finds that all is not lost between them.

Janice Graham has written a mainstream relationship drama filled with pathos, pain and tragedy. All the characters are sympathetic figures so there is no villains; just flawed individuals trying to do the best they can under difficult conditions. SARAH'S WINDOW demonstrates that the power of love can move mountains and create miracles.
