What do you get when you mix an art thief and an ex-cop? Trouble doesn’t even begin to cover it. Raven Callahan makes an honest living. Well, sort of. She works for a company that retrieves stolen artwork and returns it to its legal owner. The company’s agents are supposed to work with the proper authorities. It’s just that sometimes it is easier just to steal the art back, according to Raven.

David Maddox, who goes by Dax, was a cop. Then one night changed his life forever. Now he is out for vengeance. When he and Raven are forced together to find a kidnapper the sparks begin to fly. But will they be in time to save an innocent man’s life? Or does the kidnapper have something else in mind?

The villain was a worm and the heroes were sincere. Which in my opinion make for an excellent story. This author is definitely someone I would read again. I recommend reading this book. I don’t really have any complaints. Unusual, I know.
