This story dragged the reader through some pretty unsavory parts of Hell's Kitchen in New York City I wouldn't normally choose to read about with a group of characters colorful doesn't begin to adequately describe. For the most part they were charming. It was fun and I was willing to suspend my disbelief to account for the few more coincidences than average for such a large population.
