Class/Genre:   Mystery

The Scots inhabit a cold and rugged land of craggy peaks, lochs, rain and fog. It is no wonder that so many Scottish authors write brooding atmospheric novels. Add Alex Gray to the list.

In Glasgow several young girls are found strangled. Each has a red carnation held in praying hands. Lorimar is the DCI in charge and Solomon Brightman is working with him as a profiler. The victims are found in different locations and come from diverse backgrounds. Brightman is having difficulty doing a profile that seems to suit all the murders.

Grayıs characters are authentic and well portrayed, as are the interesting locations. The puzzle will keep you guessing. This is Grayıs second, and we hope many more will follow.
