Now this book is Summer reading in all it’s glory. Lawyer Jack Swyteck takes on a client reluctantly. Tatum Knight is a bad dude whose brother Theo is Jack’s best friend and also has an interesting back story.
It seems that beautiful socialite Sally Fenning’s death wasn’t the tragic drive by shooting it appears. Shortly before her “untimely” death Sally had tried to hire Tatum.... to murder her! Humm... And when Tatum is named in her will as an heir he and Jack smell a rat. With a 46 million dollar estate up for grabs and six heirs in the offing the stakes are high. For Sally has not divided her fortune... no.... in naming the people she deems responsible for ruining her life as possible heirs she has set up an elaborate game of cat and mouse. Only the last man standing will get the dough and they’ll have it all to themselves.
There’s greed here, and violence. Good guys and heroines . Page turning story and a promise of the answer as to why a beautiful young woman with a lot of money believed revenge more important than life. As I said , a great beach book.
