Denver Homicide Detective Bryson Coventry is involved in a case that started in Bangkok, but does not end there. The killer uses the entire world as his playground and blonde women who are self-employed are the banquet from which he chooses his playthings.

Paige Alexander is a waitress with a law degree in her back pocket that has never been used. When she takes on her first client, she finds herself going up against a high-stakes international conspiracy, a huge law firm, and a deadly enemy.

Having never read the other Hansen books, I was starting from scratch with this one. You may have to suspend your disbelief on this one, but the ride is entertaining and attention-getting. If I had one suggestion for the author, it would be to dump 'cute' references to himself and his own work - it didn't work for Clive Cussler, either.
