This is a cullinary mystery. Sophie Greenway is a food critic. This was my first book read in this series. I enjoyed it and plan to read more.

Marie Damontraville is a report who receives anonymous e-mails. These e-mails fuel her investigation into Connie Buckridge's cullinary empire and could bring her and her family down (and does). The characters in this book are likeable. I especially like Sophie and her husband who also gets involved. George Gildemeister is the current food critic for the Times Register. When he retires, Sophie takes over (along with running the hotel she got from her parents).

Sophie finds George dead. Her friend is suspected of the murder. Sophie investigates. In the investigation she gets involved with an old flame. Sparks ignite!

I recommend this book and plan to read more in this series.
