Every once in a while I read short story collections to find new authors and take a break from complicated plots. This is a collection of 20 short stories from many well known authors I had never experienced I considered the best of them mediocre and those were authors I had already tried. Those new to me did not convince me to try another of their efforts. However for those who like gritty, depressingly haunting and obscure themes, it might be a gem.
