The people in the small New England village of Misery Point avoid the house called Ravencliff because they think the place is haunted. They would be right as the house lies on top of a hellhole and from time to time a demon escapes only to be put back by Devon March, a fourteen year old young man who only recently discovered that he was a powerful sorcerer of the Night Wing Order.

Life is quiet at Ravencliff until Edward returns home with his fiancée Morgana. The hellhole starts pulsating, disembodied laughter is heard throughout the house and all males who come in contact with Morgana fall under the spell of the succubus. As Devon and his friends battle with the demons, the young sorcerer is catapulted back in time to England in 1522 where he must fight Isabel the Apostate if he wants to defeat Morgana in the present.

DEMON WITCH lives up to the promise of its prequel SORCERERS OF THE NIGHTWING only this book is much scarier. Imagine Potter in a Bentley Little novel and readers will get some idea of what the tone of this novel is like. The hero is forced by circumstances to be stronger and braver than his years and readers will take him into their hearts hoping he gets the chance to discover the truth about his heritage and the identity of his parents.
