Preaching to the Corpse is a little cozy featuring Dr. Rebecca Butterman as the protagonist. She is a psychologist in private practice who also writes an advice column. The mystery is: who killed the bossy, not too likeable victim, Lacy Bailes? Several characters were suspected by Dr. Butterman, except for the real killer. I had suspected whodunit when the character was introduced. I found the pace of this book to be a little slow. I enjoyed the reflections of the psychologist as I am in the same field, and they are accurate. The author is a clinical psychologist so she was writing what she knows.

If you are in the mood for a little cozy, this could be the book for you.
